AFORE 2026 — 15th Asia-Pacific Forum on Renewable Energy, Jeju, 3–7 November 2026

The Korean Society for New and Renewable Energy (KSNRE) will host the 15th Asia-Pacific Forum on Renewable Energy (AFORE 2026) on 3–7 November 2026 at the Jeju Booyoung Hotel & Resort, Jeju Island, Republic of Korea. This year's theme is "The Dual Challenges of Energy Security and Transition."

Program highlights
• Five plenary lectures: Hoesung Lee (Carbon Free Alliance, Korea), Daegyun Oh (National Institute of Green Technology, Korea), Jean-François Houle (National Research Council of Canada), Brandon C. Wood (Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, USA) and Baoshan Zhu (Tsinghua University, China).
• Special and planning sessions on alkaline water electrolysis and Korea's national hydrogen hub, long-duration energy storage for AI data centres, ultra-large floating vertical-axis offshore wind, wave energy converters, renewable resource assessment and energy-system modelling, sustainable aviation fuels, energy recovery from circular resources, and energy-transition policy.
• International workshops with KIER, NLR and LLNL, an invitation-only NRE Leaders Forum, four poster sessions, and technical tours on 6–7 November.
• Welcome reception on 3 November and the conference banquet on 5 November.
